Between 2018 and 2020 Sem has been active in the media world. His works range from sound design, composition and production.

The documentary Weekendkind is about the ten-year-old Mathieu. He lives in a skipper's boarding school because his parents work in the shipping industry five days a week.  This poetic documentary is focused on his perspective on daily life in this skipper's boarding school. Therefore the music reflects his thoughts and experiences in this place, by using 'wavy' and long stretched synthesizer pads.

The Kool Elevator Parts podcast focuses on developments and stories within the elevator industry.  The company wants to make a young, fresh and friendly appearance, which is reflected in both the intro music and the sound logo of this podcast.  In addition, references from the elevator world have been implemented into this music. Besides providing the musical material, Sem is also responsible for the audio editing and -mixing of this podcast.

The film No Country for Old Men (2007) by Joel and Ethan Coen is originally released without music. Within a film composition course, the HKU gave the assignment to provide this film with music. This required, among other things, compositions for string- and wind instrumentalists.

THE LEGEND OF ZELDA
 

GAMEPLAY MUSIC 

In the “14-day challenge” facilitated by HKU, students did a collaboration with a new producer every day for 14 days straight. In the collaboration between Pieter van Vleuten and Sem Zeeman, they chose to do a new composition for the gameplay of The Legend of Zelda. The new composition is inspired by the original soundtrack of this game.

Isabelle Heling is a visual designer. She is passionate about illustration, painting, animation and film. Many of her creations can be found on Instagram. She wanted to give her Christmas animation a new dimension by providing it with music.
